Tickell’s Thrush

There are records of Tickell’s Thrush Turdus unicolor in Tibet, mainly near border with Nepal (Zhangmu). Breeds Himalayas, winters peninsular India. In wooded areas. Male mostly uniform bluish-grey, with white belly and vent; female and first-winter male are browner and often have a dark malar stripe and spots on breast. Bill, feet, and eye-ring yellow. Call a series of nervous bursts; song clear notes mixed with rattles. — Craig Brelsford
