Red-flanked Bluetail Tarsiger cyanurus, male, Shanghai Botanical Garden, December. Non-adult male Red-flanked Bluetail are common on passage and as winter visitors in Shanghai. Adult males such as this one are much less commonly noted in Shanghai. The species is found throughout the city-province, from coastal areas and suburbs to urban parks deep in the center city.
