A male Tibetan Serin Spinus thibetanus feeds on alder in the Dulong Gorge in Yunnan. Tibetan Serin is a small finch. Male has olive-green upperparts and lacks yellowish wing panel. Tibetan Serin
Tibetan Serin roost on a leafless tree in the Dulong Gorge. Tibetan Serin ranges eastern Himalaya to western China. Breeds Qinghai, western Sichuan, eastern Tibet, and northwest Yunnan between 2800–4000 m (9,190–13,120 ft.). Altitudinal migrant, forming flocks in winter—in Dulong Gorge in February and March we noted on four days flocks of 100 or more.
